John was a great guy and even though he had no family left besides his daughter, he had friends who loved him dearly. Family is what you make it and the length of time you've known someone makes no difference. John had two best friends, Chuck Cramer, who had been his friend and business partner for many years and Scott Beckham, whom he had known for a short period of time but quickly developed a strong brotherly bond with John and so did John with Scott. Both loved him dearly and will always have fond memories of him in their hearts. In his last few weeks, Chuck and his wife Kathy, sacrificed and brought John into their home making him as comfortable as possible. We thank Chuck and Kathy and will always be grateful. Keep your friends close to your heart and love them like you would family. As for me and John, time separated us for a while but there was a reason and a season for him to be back in my life as a good friend. John we love you and miss you. Savannah, always remember your daddy and know that he loved you. We know this is hard on you but you have a loving mother, sister and many family members to get you through this baby.
