Charlene and family I am so ,so sorry to hear of Mickey's passing. As kids Mickey, Jerry, Johnny, (my brother) and I were always a foursome when we would visit each other. I was born on 4th st. on the mill village and my son Mickey Kendrick was named after him, he passed in 2014 from MDA. Johnny was the 1st to pass on the Willis side of cousins, other than Phillip, from what I call the Willis curse, Cardiovascular disease. It has passed on to my daughter. Again sure hate to hear the sad news and we love you and the rest of the family. Please let us know if there will be any kind of service in the future as we would love to come.

Hey Gary! This is Ashley, Mickey's daughter. Thank you so much for sharing that with us. I will show this to MoMA as soon as I get through posting. Daddy had already made sure that we were completely aware of his wishes upon passing & he wouldn't have it any other way, lol. His wish was to be cremated with no memorial service, no viewing except for MoMA, my husband & I along with our 2 children & his brothers & sisters so we did exactly as he wished. He'd always said he didn't want anyone to make a big deal out it...bless his heart. But again, thank you & I will be sure to show this to Moma. Much love, Ashley
