Amara Dean

Amara Dean was born on December 13, 2017 and peacefully went with the Lord on June 10, 2025. She was a part of her community in Reeltown Elementary School, The Pointed Toe and The Cub Scouts.

She is survived by her parents Shaina Lynette Richards Parker and Frederick Rodriquez Dean, by her meme Gina McCoy and Papa Darin McCoy, by her granny Beverlyn Dean and Pawpaw Frederick Dean Sr.

Amara "Juju" Dean was full of life. She loved to dance, sing, and draw. She lit up every room she walked into and drew in everyone's attention with her magnetic energy, which she had plenty of! She was truly a happy child and she knew she was loved by so many. She will be remembered with such great joy and missed with great sorrow! Amara will live on through us and all of those she touched because you cannot dim a light as bright as hers. Amara was someone who would give anything to help someone else and in the end she was able to be a miracle to other families as well so a piece of her lives on in those lives she saved.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy, love, and support be memorial contributions Children's of Alabama, Birmingham in Amara's memory. The staff and team of doctors were there with us and did everything they could to save our girl but ultimately God wanted her home. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation with family will begin at 11am followed by the memorial service beginning at 12pm.
