Anthony Shane Sweatman

Anthony Shane Sweatman of Tallassee, AL, 55 passed away July 1, 2025. He was born July 21, 1969. He was a long-time resident of Chattanooga, TN.

He is preceded in death by his son Eric Sweatman. He is survived by his son Michael Sweatman of Chattanooga, TN; his daughter Jessica Matthews (Anthony); three grandchildren, Avery, Delilah, and Destiny, of Sylvania, AL; two sisters Tonya Walker of Hardeeville, SC and Candi Sanders of Bryant, AL; and his mother Diane Johnson of Tallassee, AL. He was an employee of Walmart in Tallassee, AL and attended Elam Baptist Church in Tallassee.

The family would like to convey our heartfelt gratitude to the tireless efforts of the staffs at both Baptist East Hospital and Baptist South Hospital, as well as Dr. Martin Barnes and staff at The Montgomery Cancer Center.

The family will receive guests beginning at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Claud Community Church, 81232 Tallassee Hwy, Eclectic, AL 36024. The church will be conducting the memorial service at 12:00 PM.
