Betty Evers

August 12, 1929 — April 13, 2016

Betty Janet Ledbetter Evers, age 86, of Reeltown, Alabama, went to meet her Savior on April 13, 2016.
She was born August 12, 1929.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Reeltown, Alabama, on Sunday, April 17, 2016. Visitation and viewing will occur at 2 pm with the funeral service following at 3 pm with Rev. Tim Smith and Rev. Ron Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Reeltown Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include her son, John David Evers, his wife Karen; daughter-in-law Brenda Fralic; grandchildren, David Evers, Elizabeth Easterling (Drew) and Sarah Evers; great granddaughters, Kayleigh and Emma Kate. She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Charles Evers; her son, Charles Andrew Fralic; and parents, John Dorsey Ledbetter and Eva Levis Adell Ledbetter.

During her career, Mrs. Evers served as Executive Assistant to the City Manager, Charlotte, North Carolina; Executive Secretary, Auburn University Experiment Station and finally Secretary to the Dean, Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. However, her greatest joy was working with the Girls in Action and Women’s Missions Union at First Baptist Church in Reeltown.

The Evers family requests in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to First Baptist Church of Reeltown, Missions Ministry.
