Betty Jean Stephens

Mrs. Betty J. Stephens, 85, of Tallassee, passed away February 27, 2020. She was born July 15, 1934.

Funeral service will be Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 2 pm at East Tallassee United Methodist Church with Rev. Jay Woodall officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Macon Baptist Church Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory directing. Visitation will be at the church prior to the service, beginning at 1 pm.

She is survived by her eight children, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, three brothers, one sister and a loving, extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Grace Lee; husband, Robert O. Stephens and six siblings.

She was a member of East Tallassee United Methodist Church for 20 years and worked at Neptune for over 25 years. She enjoyed the mountains and the beach and spending time with her family.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Paula, Wendy, Amy and Stacy at Community Hospice and to Rev. Jay Woodall and her church family.
