Harold "Boots" Day

Harold "Boots" Day, 93 of Tallassee, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 30, 2026. He was born July 25, 1933. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.

Graveside and burial services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery at 10 am on Monday, November 2, 2026, with Rev. Rick Dorley and Bro. Trey Head officiating. Pallbearers will be Gene Carter, Randy Cole, Lee Rigsby, Randy Ward, Ricky Ward, and Lex Ward. The family will receive friends at the graveside beginning at 9:30 am.

Mr. Day is survived by his loving son, Joel (Wanda) Day; granddaughter, Jessica (Trey) Head; great- grandchildren, Eleanor and Drew Head. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wilson and Mae-Belle Day; and his beloved wife, Faye Day.

He was a charter member of Westside Baptist Church and a current member of Bethlehem East Baptist Church.

He was active in the Army for four years. After his service for our country, he worked for the City of Tallassee in the Municipality Department for many years.

His greatest joy was spending time with his family. He loved working in his yard and going on road trips with his son, Joel, on any given day but especially on the weekends. His family wishes to thank Mr. Day's friends for the countless number of hours that they spent talking on the phone with him just to help him spend the day. It means more to the family than you know.
