He is survived by sons, Rod Lanier (Jenny), Mark Lanier and Daniel Lanier; grandchildren, Abby Lanier, Copeland Lanier, Lauren Lanier, Emma Lanier and Satchel Lanier; and brothers, Frank Lanier, John Lanier and Sidney Lanier.
