David Granger Carr

Mr. David Granger Carr, age 56, a resident of Lake Martin, Alabama and Highlands, North Carolina, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012. He was born September 26, 1955.

David was a graduate of Florida State University, a teacher, a writer and an interior decorator.

He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Granger Carr of Lake Martin; his brother, William Barnes Carr, Jr. (wife Amy) of Tallassee; niece, Brett Carr Pierce (husband Michael) of Lake Martin; nephew, William Dylan Carr (wife Tera) of Prattville; great-nephews, Logan Pierce and Asher Norman; and great-nieces, Amy Laurel Pierce and Marissa Caroline Carr. He is also survived by his uncles, Roy Wyle Granger, Jr. and Joe Lynn Jackson; and his beloved dog and companion of many years, Skibo. He is preceded in death by his father, William Barnes Carr.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
