Doris Graham Kinsaul

Doris Graham Kinsaul passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 13, 2023 after a brief hospital stay in Baptist South, Montgomery, AL. Doris was born on May 12, 1930 in Claud, AL and was 92 years old when she passed away. She was the fifth child born of six children with three older brothers, one older sister and one younger sister.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Owens Brant Graham and Liddie Graham; husband, Max Allen Kinsaul; brothers, Lawton Graham, Ed Graham, Dan Graham and a sister, Rebecca Graham Ingram.

Doris is survived by her three children, Diane Kinsaul Reid (Topper Reid) of Hoover, AL, Donna Kinsaul Windham (Mack Windham) of Pinson, AL and Debbie Kinsaul of Eclectic, AL; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Dean Graham Blake of Pensacola, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doris was born and raised in Claud, Alabama where she met her husband Max and they were married 41 years before Max passed away. For most of their married life they lived in Birmingham where Max was employed at Stockham Valves, was an active member of the 87th Infantry Division stationed in Birmingham and where they raised their family.

Doris was a stay-at-home mom who saw it as a blessing to care for and raise their three daughters. Doris and Max were active members at the former Ruhama Baptist Church in East Lake where Max served as a Deacon and the girls were active in the church youth group.

Upon retirement, Doris and Max built a home in Claud and moved back "home" in 1990. After Max passed away in 1991, Doris remained in Claud surrounded by friends and family and where they were active members of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her delicious cakes and pies which she shared with her friends and family. Three of her favorite past times were cheering for the Auburn Tigers, watching the Atlanta Braves on TV and fishing when she got a chance. She loved her church and looked forward to dressing in her "Sunday best" and attending worship where she was known for her wit and humor.

The services will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Eclectic, AL on Friday January 20, 2023. Visitation is from 11:00-11:45 AM with the Celebration Service beginning at 12:00 PM. Reverend George Smith and Reverend Jamie Baldwin will be officiating the funeral with Mack Daugherty leading worship.
