Mr. Earnest J. Stroud, age 92, a resident of Tallassee, passed away March 18, 2013. He was born April 4, 1920.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm funeral time at Linville Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home officiating.
He is survived by daughters, Peggy Taylor (Jim) and Becky Berry; grandchildren, Dale and Stephanie Hornsby, Clint and Jennifer Hornsby and Amber Hale; great-grandchildren, Zack, Sloan, Carly and Cason Hornsby; and sisters, Mary and Odessa.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Essie Stroud; wife, Jimmie Ruth Stroud; son, Earnest Dale Stroud; three sisters and three brothers.
