Eva Mae Lamberth

Eva Mae “Mae” Lamberth, 97, of Tallassee, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015. She was born May 24, 1918.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at 11:00 am from the chapel at Linville Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Monday, September 21, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Taunton; sister, Lois Cantrell (Obie); grandchildren, Kevin Taunton (Lori) and Page Cotten (Jeff); and great grandchildren, LeAnne Taunton, Andrew Taunton, Katelyn Cotten, Karlee Cotten and Luke Cotten.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Marvin “Bill” Lamberth, son-in-law, T. Larry Taunton; and brothers, Pete McHargue and Ralph McHargue.

Mae worked at Mount Vernon Mills for 40 years and was an avid reader, seamstress and quilter. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, not only to her family but also to countless friends.
