Evelyn Peterson

Mrs. Evelyn Peterson, 88, of Eclectic, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born April 24, 1926.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 2:00 pm from Linville Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tim Estus officiating. Burial will follow at Claud Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.

She is survived by her husband, William Peterson; children, Mary Evelyn Hopper (Danny), John L. Goodman Jr. (Debra) and Derrick Goodman; stepdaughter, Nancy Doler (Rick); brothers, Charles “Buck” Taylor and Dennie Rewis ; sister, Delama Willis; grandchildren, Jeanine Pitchford (Wayne), Paige Armstrong (Bill), Steven Goodman (Ashley), Angela Cox (Steve), John Goodman (Kristy) and Haley Goodman; and ten great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her first husband of 52 years, John L. Goodman Sr.

The family extends special thanks to Community Hospice and Home Health; sitter, Patricia Gregory and grandchildren that sat with her, Jeanine, Steven, Ashley and Angela.
