Fala Jean Mowery

Fala Christian Mowery,74, of Tallassee, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023. She was born September 25, 1949.

She was preceded in death by her parents George Calvin and Ruby Hicks Christian; brother Ed Christian and nephew Brad Christian.

She leaves behind her husband Edward Calvin Mowery; sisters Janice C (John David) Mann and Myra C (David) Pugh; granddaughter Amanda Mowery Berry; great-grandchildren Walden and Chloe Berry, her church family at Macedonia Christian Church and many special friends.

Visitation with the family will begin at 9:00 AM, Monday, December 18, 2023 with the funeral service to follow at 10:00 AM at Macedonia Christian Church. Rev. David Hooks will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be nephews Bob Clayton, Wade Pugh, Jade Pugh, Gavin Mann, Justin Mann, and Reece Mann. Honorary pallbearer will be Tony Pugh. Burial will follow in Macedonia Christian Church Cemetery.

Fala taught school for 26 years at Elmore County High School. After retirement from education, she worked at the Hotel Talisi.
