Fermon Ray Dorminey

Fermon Ray Dorminey of Eclectic passed away on April 15, 2025, at the age of 85. He was born September 17, 1939.

Fermon is preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Dorminey; father and mother, Grady M. and Lois F. Dorminey; and a sister, Lorene Gaughf.

Fermon is survived by daughter, Vicki Peek; son, Mike Dorminey (Amy); grandchildren, Kelly Parra (Kevin), Brandon Thornell, Josh Dorminey (Lauren), and Austin Dorminey (Callie), and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Felton Dorminey (Edna); sister, Gail Davis; brother and sister in-law, Bobby Holton and Charlotte Sewall; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Fermon never met a stranger and enjoyed sharing stories of times growing up and his trucking career but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren and great-grands.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 18, 2025, at First Baptist Church Eclectic, with the service at the church at 12:00 noon; Dr. Britt Green officiating. Graveside and burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
