Frances Burt

Frances M. Burt, 87, a resident of Tallassee, passed away January 8, 2011. She was born April 8, 1923 in Eclectic, Alabama.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hooks officiating.Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Steve Stokes, Scott Stokes, Bryan Stokes, Chris Burt, Brad Burt and Travis Burt. Honorary pallbearers will be Randall Copeland, David Copeland, Adam Copeland, Charlie Stokes, Brandon Stokes, Michael Fulmer, Eric Vinson, David Vinson, Justin Burt, Orry Burt, Will Burt, Walker Burt and Mark Calabro. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home.

She is survived by children, George (Ramona) Burt, Julie Stokes and Joan (Cliff) Jones; son-in-law, Ralph Dewey; brothers-in-law, Ralph "Pete" Hale and Eugene Burt; sister-in-law, Isabell Burt; ten grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by a daughter, Edith Dewey.

Frances retired from Mt. Vernon Mills after 43 years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She faithfully attended Macedonia Christian Church.
