Gary Lewis Welch

Mr. Gary Lewis Welch, 66, of Wetumpka, passed away September 16, 2014. He was born May 30, 1948.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 2:00 pm at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Valley Station United Methodist Church Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.

He leaves his wife of 39 years, Martha Ellis Welch; daughters, Susan Boshell (Stacy) and Mary Catherine Welch; grandchildren, Andrew Boshell and Tyler Boshell; and sister, Jeanette Welch. He is preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Hixie Welch and a sister, Ellen Oswalt.

Mr. Welch was a graduate of Auburn University at Montgomery. He was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the U. S. Army. He was employed with Alabama Power for 30 years. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time hunting and fishing. He was a loving, devoted father and will be deeply missed.
