George Douglas Hart, Sr., 54, of Eclectic, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on February 17, 2026. He was born February 2, 1972.
George was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness, strength, and sense of humor touched all who knew him. He was deeply devoted to his family and took great pride in the life they built together.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Diana Sue Hart; his father, Jimmy Ray Hart; and his grandparents, George and Luverne Dismukes, whom he respected and loved more than words can say.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanna Jerrell Hart; his son, George Douglas Hart, Jr. (Kennidee); his daughter, BaLeigh Rae Hart; his honorary daughters, Jasmine Barr and Rachel Ray; his granddaughter, Ruby Hart; his grandsons, Cyo Lopez and George Douglas Hart III; his brother, Jason Hart (Toni); his stepmother, Judy Hart; his stepsisters, Dina Hollingsworth and Kristi McIllwain Bush (Jamie); as well as multiple nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
George was a dedicated member of the IBEW for 24 years and worked as a Journeyman Lineman. Throughout his career, he worked with several companies, including Henkels & McCoy, Service Electric, L.E. Myers, and PAR Electrical Contractors. He was respected for his strong work ethic, skill, and commitment to the trade.
A faithful Christian, George loved the Lord and Savior and lived his life guided by his faith.

George will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his dedication to his work, and the many lives he impacted along the way. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
