Gloria Ann Griggs

Gloria Ann Griggs, 67, a resident of Tallassee, passed away June 21, 2011. She was born January 26, 1944.

Funeral services will be Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 11:00 am at First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Travis Bittle and Rev. Bill Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband, Andy Griggs; sons, Michael Griggs (Kipp) and Mark Griggs (Tammy); brother, Johnnie Aldridge; sister, Karen Bryant (Russell); and grandchildren, Katherine Griggs, Drew Griggs, Colin Griggs and Anna Griggs.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Nellie Aldridge and a daughter, Patricia Faye Griggs.

After working at Mt Vernon Mills for a number of years, Gloria worked as an RN at Community Hospital. Gloria was known by others as a professional in everything .She loved to crochet. She always demonstrated a tender heart and was a Christian example to everyone. She loved the gospel singer, Vestal Goodman.
