Hazel Burnside

Mrs. Hazel Cannon Burnside, 96, of Tallassee, passed away May 26, 2018. She was born April 17, 1922.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 29, at 2 pm at East Tallassee Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Knowles officiating. Burial will follow at Carrville Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm at the church prior to the service.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Powell; granddaughter, Lori Powell Sharpe (Carney) and great grandchildren, Taylor Lanier Scott, Emmi Kate Scott, John Sawyer Sharpe and Jackson Walker Sharpe. She is preceded in death by her husband, Herren Burnside.

She lived most of her life in the Tallassee area and previously owned and operated Hazel’s Florist. She loved her church family and enjoyed spending time with her family and extended family.
