Irene Garnett Griggs

Mrs. Irene Garnett Griggs, 89, of Tallassee, passed away January 3, 2014. She was born March 22, 1924.

Visitation will be Sunday , January 5, 2014 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11:00 am from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kevin Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Reeltown Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Langford (Freddy); son Clifton Dave Griggs (Mary Ruth); brothers, Elmer Garnett (Carolyn) and Donald Garnett (Gail); grandchildren, Jennifer Cennamo (Michael), Dave Griggs (Sharon), Niki Langford and Michael Langford; two great grandsons; special friends, Mary Joyce Reeves and family; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Judson Griggs.
