James Ronald Allen

Dr. James Ronald “Jim” Allen, 78, of Tallassee, passed away Friday, November 20, 2015. He was born September 24, 1937.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 23, 2015 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home followed by memorial service at 2:00 pm with Rev. Chris Whittington officiating.

Dr. Allen is survived by his wife of 21 years, Amy Hendrix Allen; children, Ron Allen (Amy), Eve Law (Tom), Julia Piakis, Kim Shugrue, Jamie Butler (Justin), Dana Walters (Doug), and Allison Bazzell; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Dr. Allen attended Tulane University for medical school and was a member of their prominent Honor Society, where he specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He was also a surgeon and attended many prestigious specialty programs.
