James Ashurst

Mr. James Ashurst, 74, of Tallassee, passed away October 20, 2013. He was born October 6, 1939.

He is survived by his wife, Kristen Ashurst; stepson, Aaron Jacob Swartout; sister, Mary Ashurst; aunt, Annie Laura Glass; cousins, Marie Emfinger, Tommy and Kay Emfinger, Elliott Emfinger, Missy and Michael Coker, Mr. and Mrs. Brad Glass, Mr. and Mrs. William Glass, Mr. and Mrs. Dustin Messer, Robert and Martha Lambert and many friends. He was a member of the Flying Wheel Lodge of Montgomery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 5-7 pm at 1471 Dark Corners Rd, Tallassee. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
