Mr. James Kelley, Jr., age 89, a former resident of Tallassee, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Colonel Robert L. Howard State Veterans Home in Pell City, Alabama. He was born August 8, 1924.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, September 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Chris Whittington officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.
He is survived by sons, James Earl Kelley (Peggie) and David Kelley (Sheree); and brother, Albert Kelley. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildredge Kelley and eight siblings, Arie Ovader Causey, Desna Mae Bedgood, Beatrice Geneva Nappalon Blount, Levi Walter Kelley, Lillian L. Lewis, Eugene Kelley, Mary Christine Taylor and Robert Kelley.
