James E. Wesson

James E. Wesson (Jimmy / PawPaw), a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the age of 80. Jimmy was born August 30, 1945 in Tallassee, Alabama.

Jimmy is survived by his son, James (Jim) G. Wesson; two daughters, Kristi (Richard) Neal and Linda Bates; grandchildren, Dean Harris, Dustin Harris, Richard Neal, Courtney (Lee Lee) Wesson, Cory Dale Thornton, Lori Talley and Hayden Carnes; great-grandchildren, Leo Harris, Luka Neal, Bentley, Rhett, Izzy, Meredith Harris, Matthew, Sarah Talley; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jimmy enjoyed spending his time surrounded by family and friends, holidays, old cars and Lake Martin.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 18, 2025 beginning at 1:00 pm at Elam Baptist Church, immediately followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm with Brother Michael Talley officiating. Burial will follow in Elam Cemetery.
