Janice Ann Garner

Mrs. Janice Ann Garner, 80, of Tallassee, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014. She was born August 3, 1934.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at Riverside Heights Baptist Church, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am with Rev. Randy Billingsley officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.

She is survived by her children, Gwendolyn Lowe (Allen), Brian Garner (Gail) and Michelle Garner; siblings, James McDonald, Linda Sproule, Gary McDonald and Carolyn Shepherd; grandchildren, Patrick Taylor (Bonnie), Amber Lowe, Melissa Garner, Brian Garner Jr. and Jessica Garner; great-grandchildren, Lyndsey Rodgers, Kaidyn Martin and David Garcia Taylor.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Annie McDonald; husband of 55 years, Jesse L. Garner; and great grandson, Christopher Taylor. She was a member of Riverside Heights Baptist Church. She was a loving, caring and devoted mother. Her favorite pastime was needlework. Flowers accepted or donations may be made to the Women's Ministry at Riverside Heights Baptist Church.
