Jeanette Thornton Pitchford

Mrs. Jeanette Pitchford, 71, of Tallassee, passed away September 2, 2014. She was born March 12, 1943.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Liberty Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm with Rev. David Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.

She is survived by her husband, Cosper Pitchford; children, Alan Rigsby (Debra), Alesa Stewart (Chuck) and Lee Rigsby (Cindy); brother-in-law, Jesse Sanders; sister-in-law, Martha Thornton; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Shorty and Zora Thornton; a sister, Bea Sanders and brothers, Buddy Thornton and Dale Thornton.

She loved and was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church for over 40 years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 574 Liberty Rd, Tallassee, AL 36078.
