Jinnene Griffith

Jinnene Griffith, age 92, passed away May 16, 2025. She was born March 13, 1933.

Visitation will begin at 2 pm, Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Refuge Baptist Church, followed by the funeral service at 3 pm. Rev. Steve Scarborough will be officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Austin Mullins and Margaret Kirby Mullins; husband, Jesse Griffith; mother and father-in-law, Ruby and Abb Griffith; brothers, Stanley A. Mullins and Charles F. Mullins.

She is survived by her children, Stanley M. Griffith (Vickie), Craig Griffith (Cathy) and Jeanne Griffith Shirley (Tim); grandchildren, Douglas Griffith (Amy), Ben Griffith (Hollie), Jeffrey Griffith (Amber), Vanessa Berry (Matthew), Lauren Funderburk (Dustin), Morgan Glass (Jade), Todd Griffith (Adrienne) and Brandon Shirley (Jessie); eighteen great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Maxine Casaday (Ferrell); and a large, loving extended family.

Jinnene was a member of Refuge Baptist Church where she served as music leader for over 20 years. She enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending time with her family.
