JoAnn Holt Walls

JoAnn Holt Walls, a resident of Eclectic, passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at the age of 82. JoAnn was born August 20, 1943, in Tallassee, AL to Joseph and Irene Holt. She was the oldest of five children. She married Mike E. Walls on October 27, 1962. She worked in the Tallassee Mills and later as secretary at Neptune in Tallassee where she retired. She was a member of Rushenville Baptist Church where she taught the Senior Sunday school class for many years.

JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Levon Holt and Alice Irene James Holt; and her husband of 52 years, Mike E. Walls.

JoAnn is survived by her two daughters, Terri (Joel) Johnson and Sharon (Todd) Lett; two sisters, Patricia (Junior) Henderson and Patsy (Paul) Cole; two brothers, Bobby (Brenda) Holt and Barry (Pat) Holt; five grandchildren, Michael Sides, Traci (Chad) Jones, Destin (Krista) Lett, Logan (Meagan) Lett and Austin (Shyanne) Adams; eight great-grandchildren, Landon Yawakia, Kailey Jones, Alden and Dovie Sides, Adeline Lett, Jax Jones, Annie and Damon Adams; and a host of nieces and nephews.

JoAnn was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending her time surrounded by family and friends, holidays, watching football, playing games at the Senior Center, lunches with her sisters and brothers and coworkers, estate sales and more.

Visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Linville Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 10:00 a.m. Artificial arrangements and/or live plants appreciated.
