Mr. Joe Milner, 77, of Tallassee, passed away Monday, June 29, 2015. He was born December 6, 1937.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 2:30 to 4:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 4:00 pm from the funeral home chapel. Rev. Danny Rodgers will be officiating and burial will follow at Carrville Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.
He is survived by special friend, Eleanor Garnett; daughters, Karen Flurry and Kim Watkins; son, Brent A. Milner; sister, Sarah Ann Thompson; grandchildren, C. J. Ledbetter, Kody Rowlison, Caleb Parker, Madison Parker, Laken Flurry, Brue Milner and Beau Milner; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse B. Milner and Viola Webster Milner; his wife, Ann Milner; brother, Versel Carlisle and sisters, Nell Carlisle Winslett and Margaret Sanford.
Joe was an avid fan of Auburn football and enjoyed western movies. His pastimes included watching his children and grandchildren play sports and taking road trips to enjoy the scenic routes on back roads and dirt roads. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
