John Martin
December 31, 1953 — September 29, 2013
Mr. John M. “Big John” Martin, 59, of Eclectic, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013. He was born December 31, 1953.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 11:00 am from Eclectic United Methodist Church with Rev. Michael Lawler officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.
He is survived by sisters, Sally Martin Miller and Linda Martin; brother, David K. Martin; significant other, Maggie McIntyre; six nieces and nephews and fifteen great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Margaret Martin and a brother, Lamax Martin.
John enjoyed being Santa Claus for the Town of Eclectic and other organizations for many years.
