Mr. John W. Wissinger, 67, of Eclectic, AL, went to be with the Lord on August 22, 2019. He was born September 6, 1951 in Johnstown, PA, the son of Sylvester and Janet Wissinger.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Truss Bethea, Jr. He is survived by daughters, Erika Svencer and Erin Eckstein (Mike); grandchildren, Alexis, Stephanie, Cheyenne and Stone, all of Eclectic, AL and Lindsey Wissinger of Johnstown, PA; sister, Catherine Boguski of Schwenksville, PA and his fur baby, Lucy.
John was a 1969 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School and a U. S. Navy Veteran. He retired in 2014 from J. R. Smith Manufacturing Company after 32 years of perfect attendance. John was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football fan. He loved spending time with his family and will be missed dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, August 26, 2019 from 5 to 7 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory.
