Johnny Allen Lee

Mr. Johnny Allen Lee, CW2 US Army Retired, age 72, a resident of Tallassee, passed away June 25, 2011.He was born July 16, 1938.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. David Kelley officiating.Burial will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with full military honors, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. 

He is survived by wife, Patsy Lee; son, Allen Lee (Sharyl); brothers, Bill Lee, Jim Lee, Joe Lee, Doug Lee and Jerry Lee; sisters, Betty Stephens and Mary Hannah; grandchildren, Caleb Lee, Jordan Lee, Ethan Lee, David Lee, Alyssa Lee and Tayla Conner; great-grandchildren, Savannah Lee, Lexi Lee, Raidon Lindquist and Isabella Lindquist.He is preceded in death by a son, Larry Lee; daughter, Kimberly Lee Hudson; and brother, Robert Earl Lee.

He served our country in the U. S. Army and retired as CW2 after 20 years of service. He served in Vietnam on two tours and received the Bronze Star.After retirement, he worked as a lead diesel mechanic at Thompson Tractor, as maintenance supervisor for Community Hospital and also retired from the State of Alabama.Johnny loved his family and was always a presence that would not be ignored.He will be greatly missed by his family and those whose lives he touched.
