Major Joseph G. Joubert, USAF (Ret.), age 78, went peacefully to his heavenly home after an extended illness on September 26, 2024. He was born in San Fransico, CA on October 18, 1945.
Graveside service and burial will be Friday, October 4, 2024 at 2 pm at Bullard Cemetery with military honors. Father Mat Rudzik and Rev. Chris Whittington will be officiating.
He spent 22 years as an officer in the United States Air Force. After retiring, he continued his career in Warner Robbins, Georgia, as a logistics contractor to the defense department while also maintaining a home for his family in Tallassee, AL until his second retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Suzanne Nichols Joubert; his children, Gabrielle Joubert Abroms (Eric), Daniel Joubert (Michele), Sarah Joubert and Jessica Joubert and their mother, Cathy Joubert; his stepchildren, Joely McLain Stewart (Joe) and Jason L McLain; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also left to cherish his memory are his sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Johnny Graham, whom he loved, along with a few nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel and Lurae Joubert; four sisters, Jean Downey, Rosalie Levesque, Lois Figueroa and Mary Amaral and stepson, William Daniel Bonner.
Joe was a proud veteran who enjoyed his work. When he was able, he loved gardening, cutting grass and being outdoors. He also loved spending time with family and friends. We will miss you, Soldier, Papa Joe (Pepe).
