Julia Mae Flurry

Mrs. Julia Mae Flurry, 88, of Tallassee, passed away December 21, 2014. She was born January 9, 1926.

Visitation will be at East Tallassee Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 23, 2015 from 12:30 to 2:30 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:30 pm, with Rev. Jay Woodall officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.

She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Murphy; brother, Thomas Hill Jr; sister, Ruth Boulware; grandchildren, Terry Dale Flurry (Stephanie), Melanie Baker (Mark), Lisa Tyson (Mike) and Julia Flurry; eleven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Houston Flurry; son, Roger Flurry; mother, Essie Hill; son-in-law, Marion Self and sister, Jean Miller.

She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She was a member of East Tallassee Methodist Church for over 50 years and loved her church family and friends. She enjoyed baking and will be missed by all who knew her. Online condolences at www.linvillememorial.com.
