Larry Grice

We are saddened to announce the passing of Larry Grice, 72, of Tallassee, AL on July 15, 2025. Larry was born on July 5, 1953.

Visitation with the family will begin at 12 pm, Thursday, July 17, 2025 at Linville Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 1 pm with Bro. Rick Dorley officiating.

Larry was truly one of a kind-a devoted brother, father, grandfather, and friend whose presence was a constant source of love, laughter, and support.

Larry lived his life with deep commitment to his family, never missing a moment to be there for those he loved. Cheering from the sidelines, celebrating our wins, comforting us in losses, and always showing up, no matter what. He wasn't just present; he was a constant. His dedication to his children and grandchildren was unmatched, and his steady encouragement, warm heart, and that whistle made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Life will never be the same without him. His absence leaves a void in our hearts, but his legacy of love, loyalty, and presence will live on in every memory and every story we share.

Larry is preceded in death by his Father Almon Grice; Mother Lanelle Woodfin; Brother Jimmy Gilbreath; and Sisters Wylene Gilbreath and Patricia Grice.

Larry is lovingly remembered by his children: Doug Grice, Patty Grice Emfinger (Kelly), and Julie Blackburn; his grandchildren: Kaylee Gothard (Trey), Lynsey Byrd (Mason), Madison Grice, Hunter Griggs, Micah Emfinger, Brendan Emfinger, Caitlin Emfinger, Chase Blackburn, Aidyn Blackburn, Bradyn Blackburn, and Millie Jo Grice; and his great-grandchildren: Hayes Gothard and Grady Byrd; sisters Sue Ann Grice Alexander, Judy Kopecky, Barbara Beaty, and Sandra Adair; along with many nieces, nephews, and a beloved group of CB radio friends that knew him best as the "Reeltown Rebel."

Close friends and family are invited to gather at the home of Patty and Kelly Emfinger to offer their condolences and share memories.
