Linda Kay Forney

Linda Forney, 65, of Tallassee, passed away October 22, 2020. She was born November 1, 1954.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26 at 2:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory directing. Visitation will be Sunday, October 25, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home.

Pall bearers will be Daniel Forney, Michael Forney, Zach Forney, Jason Lett, Pierson Lett and Sawyer Lett. Honorary pall bearers will be Vince Vogel, Keegen Lett, Paul Phillips, Jack Gallander, Charles Harris and Keith Harris.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Steve Forney; children, Robert (Lee) Forney, Stacey (Steve) Vogel and Matt (Nicole) Forney; grandchildren, Daniel Forney, Michael Forney, Zach Forney, Vince Vogel, Tessa Vogel and Talia Vogel; siblings, Lee Neal Cranford and Mary Warren; brother-in-law, Jimmy (Lynda) Forney; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo Vann and Ruby Thelma Cranford and sisters, Elizabeth Allen and Doris Harris.

She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church for over 35 years. Her hobbies were sudoku, sewing and gardening, but she especially enjoyed any activity involving her grandchildren. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.
