Mary Rilla Bellury, 99, of Tallassee, formerly of Jones County, Georgia, passed away March 5, 2022. She was born June 30, 1922.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with funeral service to follow at 10:00 am at Good Hope Baptist Church on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 with Rev. Kenny Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Good Hope Cemetery.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Pastor Norman Lee “Blackie” Bellury. She is survived by her sons, Reg Bellury, Michael Bellury, Tim Bellury and Phillip Bellury; sixteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
She and her husband were founders and leaders of Central Baptist Church in Jones County, GA. Her hobby was writing; she authored five books and numerous pamphlets.
