Mary "Paula" Dryden McVay

Mary "Paula" Dryden McVay, 56, of Wetumpka, passed away on December 28, 2025. She was born June 23, 1969.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She is survived by her husband, Michael McVay; children, Krystyna George, Jordan Storms (Rosa McCall); grandchildren, Henry George, Rosie George, and Weston Robinson; mother, Mary Dryden and siblings, Debbie Walls (Randy), Daniel Dryden and David Dryden. She is preceded in death by her father, Bill Dryden.

She had great love for her dog, Bernice Bo-Deen McVay, her family, cooking, music, spending time and spoiling her grandkids. She was a fan of Alabama football (Roll Tide!) and enjoyed her time with Disney, Star Wars, Star Trek, and all things nerdy. Her hobbies were knitting, reading, and teaching her grandkids cooking lessons. She will be dearly missed, however, she will always live in our minds and hearts forever.

If you would like to join us in her celebration of life, it will be held at 2 pm, Monday, January 5, 2026 at Martin Luther King Jr Recreational Center, 200 Lancaster St, Wetumpka, AL 36092. Her favorite color was green. If you would like to honor her by wearing green, you are more than welcome to.
