Mr. Matt “Hard Luck” Jacob, 60, of Opelika, passed away June 2, 2014. He was born August 23, 1953.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 5, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00 am at Cowboy Church, 3214 Weoka Rd, Wetumpka, AL with Rev. Gary Walker officiating.

He is survived by daughters, Deanna Blake (Phillip), Danny Smith, Cody Shaffer (Lee), Kasey Baker (Jessie) and Teresa Jacob; sister, Bobbi Kennard (Byron); grandchildren, Lauren and Logan Blake, Tyler McLeod and P.J. Smith, Jacob, Caroline, James and Caitlyn Shaffer; nieces and nephews, Jolee Perez (Jesus) and Jamee Baker (Gerald) and beloved pets, Jake and Lady.
