Melba June Brodzinski

Melba June Brodzinski, 89, of Tallassee, passed away January 29, 2018. She was born November 5, 1928.

Funeral service will be Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 11 am, at Tallaweka Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Smith and Rev. Isaac Kervin officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be at the church prior to the service, beginning at 10 am.

She is survived by daughters, Linda Chapman, Brenda McAlpin and Angela Brodzinski; son, James Edward Brodzinski Jr. (Connie); brothers, Bobby Bowles (Joyce) and twin brother, Wil Bowles; sister-in-law, Juanita Bowles; grandchildren, Doug Thornton (Stacy), Steve Thornton (Heather), Ben Brodzinski (Ashley), Kelly Brodzinski, Crystal Wright (Ray) and Crystin Sharp (C.J.); and great grandchildren, Hope Thornton, Gracie Thornton, Stephen Thornton, Dalton Wright, Campbell Thornton, Hughlon Brodzinski, Felicity Sharp and Adelie Brodzinski.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Brodzinski Sr.; brothers, Billy Bowles and John Bowles; and sister-in-law, Betty Bowles.

She was a charter member of Tallaweka Baptist Church. She graduated from St. Margaret’s School of Nursing with honors and she will be remembered as an ER Nurse at Tallassee Community Hospital where she worked for many years.
