Mrs. Mildred Duke Pierce, age 91, a resident of Tallassee, passed away July 6, 2011.She was born June 5, 1920.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 10:00 am at Good Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Hill officiating. Burial in Friendship Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Friday, July 8, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Good Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Martha (Bob) Ward of Equality and Mary (Eddie) McGarr of Tallassee; grandchildren, Amanda Ward of Equality, Andy (Jennifer) Ward of Counce, TN, Justin (Jessca) McGarr of Tallassee, and Tiffany (Payton) Goodwin of Tallassee; stepgrandchildren, Mike (Diane) Ward of Dothan and Vicki (Dennis) Hawn of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; great-grandsons, Macon and Brody Goodwin; and brother, Johnnie Lee Duke of Tallassee.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Pierce and daughter, Ramona P. Jordan.
