Molinda Faye Cannon

Molinda Lackey Cannon, 64, of Tallassee, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. She was born February 28, 1951.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 23, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 am at Linville Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Carrville Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.

She is survived by her husband, Louis Hoyt Cannon II; children, Cameron Elliott (Ben) and Louis Hoyt Cannon III (Starr); and grandchildren, Everett Elliott and Chase Cannon.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Henry Lackey; son, David Varner Cannon; and brothers, Robert Henry Lackey and William E. Lackey.

Molinda was a member of East Tallassee Baptist Church. She was a teacher’s aide at Reeltown School where she touched the lives of many children and retired after 25 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her zest for life will be remembered by all who knew Molinda and she will be greatly missed.
