Nelda Blankenship Lumpkin

Nelda Blankenship Lumpkin, 63, of Notasulga, passed away January 10, 2018. She was born August 23, 1954.

Funeral service will be Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2 pm at Bethel Holiness Church with Pastor Joseph Futral and Pastor Eugene Futral officiating. She will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 from 7 to 9 pm at Linville Memorial Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Larry Lumpkin; son, Jonathan Lumpkin; sister, Myra Miller; and brother, Gary Blankenship (Linda). She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Frances Blankenship; and brothers, Byron Blankenship and Harmon Blankenship.

Nelda grew up around Eclectic and after graduating from Elmore County High School, she served as school secretary the following year. She retired from Auburn University where she worked as an Administrative Assistant. She also worked at East University Veterinary Clinic in Auburn.
