Nellie R.  Aldridge

Nellie R. Aldridge, 87, passed away June 1, 2010. She was born October 19, 1922.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 3, 2010 at First Assembly of God with Rev. Travis Bittle officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at First Assembly of God Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Gloria A. (Andy) Griggs of Tallassee and Karen (Russell) Aldridge Bryant of Tallassee; son, Johnnie Aldridge, Pittsburg, CA; sisters, Lalah Raines, Elmore, AL and Elizabeth Rutland ofJacksons Gap; brother, Robert Bowden of Dadeville, AL; grandchildren, Michael A. Griggs (Kipp), Mark A. Griggs (Tamara), John Aldridge (Jamie), Jennifer Green, Halen Weldon, Brittany Phillips, Kristen Bryant and Braxton Bryant; great-grandchildren, Katherine and Drew Griggs, Colin and Anna Griggs, Donavan Aldridge, Meagan Green, Ethan Green and Harrison Green; sister-in-law, Annie R. Crumpton, Opelika, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, great- niece sand great- nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Aldridge.
