Peggy Joyce Jones

Peggy Joyce Jones, aged 87, left this earthly realm April 10, 2021 after an extended illness. She was born December 26, 1933 in Tallassee, Alabama, Tallapoosa County.
Mrs. Jones was happiest when at the side of her loving husband of 51 years, Willie Marvin Jones. She was a devoted mother, a loving and supportive grandmother, and a doting great-grandmother.
She was a lifelong member of Elam Baptist Church, having taught Sunday school for many years. She was fondly called “Miss Joyce” by many of the youth. After her mother’s illness, she also taught the senior women. She loved the ladies of her class. She loved her church and was faithful in her service to the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Marvin Jones, her parents Chester and Bunie Mathis, and her grandson Nicholas Jones.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her two sons, Terry Jones (Mary Beth) and Randy Jones (Tujunnah). Her grandchildren are Courtney Jones (Jennifer), Blakely Jones (Morgan), Skye Jones, and Patrick Jones (Balthazar Cordero), Christie Jones, Haley Ross (Nathan), Keith Jones (Elizabeth), and Kevin Jones (Rachel). Her great-grandchildren are Conrad Jones, Jewell Jones, Oliver Jones, Hunter Strickland, Logan Strickland, Karli Ross, Brinley Ross, Aubrey Ross, Kingston Ross, and Lorien Jones.
Due to the Covid Pandemic, the family has requested a private graveside service. Your kind remembrance and offered prayer will be greatly appreciated. The graveside service will be conducted by ministers Michael McElroy and Don Stephens with Linville Memorial Funeral Home directing.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Elam Baptist Church.
