Phillip Carter

Phillip Dewayne Carter, 63, of Tallassee, passed away October 9, 2025. He was born January 3, 1962 to Clyde Henry and Vernist Ruth (Hydrick) Carter in Calhoun County, Alabama.

Phillip was the youngest of seven surviving children. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Martha Dickman (Ronald) and Barbara Brewer; and brothers, William, Kenneth (Mary), Warren (Madeline) and James Michael.

He is survived by his son, Nathan Carter (Erin); daughter, Carrie Robertson (Kenneth); grandchildren, Kaleigh, Elijah, Natalee, Rylee, Silas and Cooper; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family stated they would be remiss not to mention the loving, extended family within the Ivy Creek Healthcare network, with whom Phillip became extremely close to over the past 10 years during his tenure there as a member of the maintenance staff.

Vessel Church, 205 Ellis Lazenby Rd, Eclectic, AL will be conducting a memorial service on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at 3:00 pm.

The family is asking in lieu of flowers, please make donations in Phillip's memory to The Ivy Creek Foundation. Memorial contributions may be dropped off at Elmore Community Hospital or by mail to 500 Hospital Dr, Wetumpka, AL 36092.
