Randall Scott Wallace, affectionately known to family and friends as Scotty, of Tallassee, AL, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 22, 2023 at the age of 55.
Visitation with the family will begin at 12 noon with memorial service to follow at 2 pm on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Linville Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. John Sparks will officiate the service.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife Susan Wallace; children Randall Keith Wallace (Adrian), Katey Owens (James) and Andrew Bennett (Maddie); precious grandchildren Allie Owens, Emilie Owens and Skylar Segrest; brother Rusty Wallace (Bonita) and lots of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Virginia Wallace.
Scotty worked for Neptune Technology Group "for forever" as he termed it (28 years) until CREST Syndrome sidelined his career as a Class A Mechanic. His work ethic allowed him to provide for his children's needs and they wanted for nothing. He will be fondly remembered for taking Katey to softball games on his motorcycle and teaching Randy and Andrew the art of being a mechanic and getting things to work.
As Scotty grew older and the children grew up, he and Susan began to travel the South. Their favorite places to visit were St. Augustine, Savannah, Charleston, New Orleans, Biloxi, and any beach but Panama City Beach was their favorite destination. Scotty's love for classic cars was enjoyed every year with a trip to "Cruisin the Coast" and he made a point to take all the friends and family along that wanted to go and eat good seafood and enjoy all those classic rides. If he wasn't looking at Classic Cars, he and Susan would head to the beach to enjoy Thunder Beach to hear the Thunder of the motorcycles.
Scotty loved to call you and wake you up on your birthday and he deemed 4 AM was the perfect time to call and wish you a "Happy Birthday." Scotty loved his granddaughters more than anything and set up for Allie a driving track in the yard so that she could practice driving. They spent days out there on that track backing up, parking close to items and taking curves.
Let it be known that he would take the grands on yearly vacations which included Disney World, Panama City Beach, Gulf Shores, Chattanooga TN, and anywhere else they wanted to go. He would spoil them with toys and their favorite foods while vacationing. Emilie wanted some cheese dip one time in TN and off he goes to the restaurant across the street to get her a special order of chips and dip while Susan and Allie ate chicken fingers.
Scotty will always be remembered for helping you out in any way that he could, and would give you the shirt off his back if needed. He loved his family passionately and they loved him. He was known for his sense of humor and teasing everyone. There will never be another Scotty Wallace and right now the world could use a million Scotty Wallaces. He worked hard, he played hard and he loved hard. May he forever rest in peace.
