Rebecca Rose Formby Hooker

Rebecca Rose (Formby) Hooker, age 76 of Pike Road, AL passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025 in her home. Becky was born December 26, 1948 in Tallassee AL. She is preceded in death by her father, Milton Lamar Formby; mother, Octavia Porter Formby; and sister Mona Mills.

She leaves behind one son, James David Hooker of Tallassee, AL; granddaughter, Kelsey Carwile of Clanton, AL; niece, Teresa (Jimmy) Bright of Pike Road, AL and two great nieces, Meri-Kathryn (Austin) Smith and Bellah Bright.

Becky retired from the Alabama Education Association a few years after moving to Pike Road.

Her family, friends and her neighborhood were the highlight of her life. Those who knew her will remember how much she treasured her flowers, her beloved chocolate lab, Asia Rose and spending time at the beach.

In the last few years, Becky was often seen spending time on her front porch socializing with neighbors and tending to her flowers. Everyone is proud of their neighborhood but Becky truly loved hers and she will be missed by all who knew her. She was one-of-a-kind to say the least.

There will be a celebration of life service at Vaughn Forest Church, Montgomery, Alabama, on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 1 pm.
