Robert David "Dave" Niesen

Robert David "Dave" Niesen, 80, a resident of Tallassee, Alabama, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 27, 2022. He was born September 21, 1942 in Birmingham, Alabama.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Dean and Sarah Kathryn Niesen; his wife, Beverly Ward Niesen and brother, Dean Niesen.

He is survived by his children, Christy Leigh (Brad) Bonner and Matthew David (Amy) Niesen; stepmother, Mary Jane Niesen; brother, Alan (Aimee) Niesen and grandchildren, Collier, Cole and Drake Bonner.

Dave was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and he studied commerce and business administration at the University of Alabama. Dave was the President at Niesen Tractor Company, Montgomery, Alabama. Previously he was employed as a managing general partner at Southland Machinery, Montgomery, Alabama. He enjoyed Alabama football and his beloved Yorkie, JoJo.

The family extends special thanks to Community Hospice for their care and support. Expressions of sympathy and love may take the form of contributions to the Elmore County Humane Society.
